Legislated Health will use the electronic cigarette in three months, after Fallas

The Ministry of Health plans to have its own legislated by decree the use of electronic cigarette in Valencia within about three months, once the Ministry of Health has established the general rules on the treatment of that device.

Speaking to Reuters , the Minister recalled that the Inter-territorial Health Council agreed to merge these recommendations on the use of this substitute for snuff , and has stated that the first steps now have to give the Ministry to realize the standard that use .

From there , he indicated , each Autonomous Community legislate treatment electronic cigarette , which in the Valencia expected to occur after failures , because in about two or three months will be made ​​the national standard and the Government wants to be " very agile "to have its own decree.

Llombart recalled that in Valencia longer exists since 10 December, a statement advising against the use of this device in health care facilities , educational and welfare dependent .

This recommendation , motivated by the precautionary principle laid down in the Public Health Act , was intended for public spaces where people can be more sensitive to the potential harm that the electronic cigarette may cause, such as schools, homes, hospitals and health centers .

The Minister then said that it was a measure of "prudence " to know that their health effects and whether it can be harmful.

By the same principle of precaution, the Interregional Council of Health in mid-December agreed to establish a common position to regulate electronic nicotine delivery systems or electronic cigarettes.

That position goes to ban the consumption of this product in schools and children's areas , health centers, general government services, citizen services , and public transportation .

Once completed , the Ministry of Health is developing the regulations on this subject and published in the Official State Gazette ( BOE) , the different Autonomous Communities legislate to implement it .

Until then, the recommendation not to use the electronic cigarette in health centers, schools and centers of social welfare is maintained.
